Headache

A month ago, as soon as the schedules went online, I made my plans for the next semester of college: what classes I was taking, what days the classes would be on, what teachers I wanted to have, etc. I even planned my boyfriend's schedule and coordinated all our classes so that we can still car pool and not be at school all day. I only have 10 classes left until I graduate with my associates' degree so also needed to keep everything organized. I met with my adviser last week to make sure everything was bueno. I gave a copy of my schedule to my mom in case she needed it. I over planned everything.
Yesterday was the day that would have been the earliest to register. But...

of course there is a but
there is always a but
*sigh*
moving on.
Unfortunately, I had a book out from the library that was requested from the inter loan library system. The book was not overdue or anything yet the college put a hold on my account hindering me from registering for my class. I thought Hey, I have the book in my car. And I'm done with it. So I can turn it in and have this hold removed.
Nothing is ever so simple, of course.
As I returned the book, a college student who was working the counter assured me that the hold would be removed from my account as soon as she put the book into the system. I waited an hour, checking every 2 minutes, to see whether the hold was taken off. It was still there.
I went to lunch.
When I came back, the hold was still there.
With the beginnings of a stress headache, I kindly asked a different library worker why this hold was still on my account. She didn't know. I was directed to another library worker who then told me that the guy who usually did these kinds of things would not be in until 8:30 the next morning. My stress headache building, I went home to my mom yelling at my 17 yr. old sister because she was out past her curfew and my kitty cat wanting more attention that I can give her. I went to bed, without checking my usual online things (sorry HektikLyfe, I didn't check my comments) and hoped that this monster headache would magically disappear over night.
No luck.
Waking up with a headache is not fun.
Trying to sign up for the classes that I picked a month ago and realizing that one of them is now full is not fun.
Showing up to my boyfriend's house and waiting for him to get ready because he overslept is not fun.
So I took some Tylenol, skipped class, and slept in the car. I still have a little headache, but overall I'm much better.

Yep. That's college. I'm glad I'm done with that shit. XP

Just wait until you get the instructor's that tally your grades wrong at the end of the year and you have signed paperwork to prove it and they don't do anything dropping your score a full freakin' grade! He actually accused me of forging the document. Seriously? A difference from a B to an A.

Parking was a fantastic nightmare for me in college too.

Hey you could always sit in and try to add the class if someone doesn't show.

>HektikLyfe: Yeah. I'm going to try to email the teacher later if there are any openings or take it during the summer. I haven't decided yet. And I hope I don't get any weird teachers like that. I looked them up on ratemyprofessor.com and hope other people's opinions are acurate.

I wish we had something like that when I was in school and that wasn't that long ago. I do remember how teachers were all upset about it. A lifetime of grading you would think it would be fair for them to be graded too.

I know a majority of my high school teachers would fail consistently. :)
