11 Days Since Last Post...

And I've finally get 30 minutes to myself before I have to go to work.

You know, I always perceived Christmas as a calming holiday with plenty of time to spend with family because of school and work holidays.

Not until this year did I realize how very stressful it can be. This is actually the first year that I can pretend to afford gifts for the people I love -- the key word being pretend. I don't think I can really afford all the gifts that I purchased with my lovely credit card; but hey, it's Christmas right. So I've been giving all my spare time to finding the right gift, calling to make sure nobody else has bought it, and buying it with my magical credit card.

Side Note: Have you seen the preview to the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic. I want to see this one just to make me feel better.

Anyway, the only gift I have left to buy is my boyfriend's. And he was so specific that I really don't have to be creative. Also, we both decided to give each other our gifts after the holiday when we get the next paychecks.

As the last minutes of my free time are slipping away, I ask you: How is your Christmas shopping going?

This year more than anything other has emphasized the word STRESS.

I think the financial disaster affecting the world adds to it.

Definitely! I also think that some people are trying not to show that there is a financial disaster. Or some are trying to prove that the financial disaster is not affecting them. My mom and dad are doing that. Trying to prove how well off they are despite everything.

*sigh*
